Mason will be two years old on March 13th. On February 21, 2012 he was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
Mason is a smart little boy, but his ability to speak, constant ear infections, troubles sleeping and behavior issues got me to thinking that there could possibly something out of the ordinary with him.
After finally getting him tested, he was given his diagnosis.
As heartbreaking as this is, and I've shed many tears and sure more will come for my son, I push through those tears in hopes to find treatments that can help Mason and our family understand and learn how to live with this.
When you look at this happy kid (most of the times) you can't tell that there's anything that could be wrong. But his speech is so limited and it's hard for him to communicate through words.
I hope to start this blog in hopes to find others out there that can share their stories as well as I can do for others.
I'll share in the process that we go through with doctors, school, diet changes, etc.
Please share this with others. This is a way to connect and help one another through a hard situation and make it come together for what it should be.
I'm Mason great aunt and I will do whatever I can to help him be the best he can be! Love you lil man!
ReplyDeleteHi! I set up this site for Tanessa (I'm Patricia - Mason's Grandma). We're hoping to this will help not only raise awareness but help with track the progress and changes that Mason and his family will go through with this new journey in life.
ReplyDeleteTanessa set up a link for people to donate money for an iPad for him. It is statistically shown that they help children with their learning abilities.
Contact Tanessa if you need more information or want to help.
Thanks for being supportive..
